Projects investigate the uses and implications of data, machine learning, and artificial intelligence in design and society. This includes developing new AI tools and interfaces, using AI in design and fabrication education and practice, computer vision, interaction, etc. from craft and making to architecture and the built environment. New theoretical understandings of the relationship between AI, craft, and design are also sought. Related areas include:

- Situated Computations
- Interrogative technology design
